ABI centre at ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar is meant to create an ecosystem for start-ups and to facilitate entrepreneurship development in various domains of Animal Science. Entrepreneurship Development Training Programmes (EDPs), Incubation facilities and in-house laboratory support will enable to strengthen the budding and existing start-ups in Animal Science.
RKVY-RAFTAAR SCHEME
Rashtriya Krishi vikas Yojana- Remunerative Approaches For Agriculture and Allied Sector Rejuvenation(RKVY-RAFTAAR) is an initiative of Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Govt. Of India to give thrust to agripreneurship and startups. In a broader way the scheme is implemented with the objectives of making farming a remunerative economic activity through strengthening the farmers efforts, risk mitigation and promoting innovation.
The ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute through its agri Business Incubation(ABI) centre, which is one of the India's premier Animal Science based incubator for development of startups is implementing the two programmes "NAVODAYA-2019" (Animal Science entrepreneurship orientation programme) and "SAMRIDDHI-2019" (Animal Science based incubation programme) under RKVY-RAFTAAR Agri Business Incubation scheme.

SAMRIDDHI-2019
SAMRIDDHI-2019 is an incubation programme envisioned under Rashtriya krishi vikas yojana(RKVY)-Remunerative Approaches for agriculture an Allied Sector Rejuvenation (RAFTAAR) Agri-Business Incubation (R-ABI) scheme to provide support to the startups having innovative products,services, business processes/models at minimum viable product(MVP) Stage in the animal science and allied sector which are already to be commercialized.The program will create an ecosystem wherein it will bring startup.industry experts,subject matter specialist,academicians and funding institution under one roof for building startup ecosystem,strengthening business plans, providing networking platforms. up scaling the budding businesses through in house technical support from IVRI and its zonal institutes.
ELIGIBILITY
• Applicant should be an indian citizen.
• Recipient should have an initial business plan based on the prototype catering to innovation in the field of technology,service business Models etc(at MVP stage)
• Recipient are expected to pursue 8 weeks incubation program workshop
• The applicants should have a registered company or are planning to register as an indian start up as per the department for promotion of industry and internal Trade(DIPP).
• Early startups in Animal science and allied sector looking for technical and business support are encouraged to apply.

Navodaya 2019 is an animal science Based entrepreneurship orientation program Rashtriya krishi vikas yojana(RKVY)-Remunerative Approaches for agriculture and allied sector Rejuvenation(RKVY-RAFTAAR)Agri Business Incubation (R-ABI) scheme. this scheme is aimed at providing an opportunity to students,youths,smart farmers, Women or anyone interested to venture in ANIMAL SCIENCE AND ALLIED areas for working on their innovative ideas for development of prototype, which may lead to technological solution/processes/products/services/business platform etc.This program will create and nurture a pipeline of entrepreneurs in animal science sector for future startups which will provide attractive carrier option.
ELIGIBILITY
• Applicant should be an indian citizen.
• Recipient should propose on innovative idea or initial business plan based on technology,service, business platforms etc.
• Recipient will have to pursue 2 months residential workshop.
• After successful completion of the 2 months workshop, interns will present their business proposal plan for receiving idea/pre-seed stage funding for prototype/products development.
• The selected interns shall register his/her company before the release of grant/or he/she has to be an indian start-up as per Department for Promotion of industry and internal Trade(DIPP).
